Summer 2011

We hope this letter finds everyone well and looking forward to a fantastic summer! Below is a tentative calendar of events for the 2011 season. As in the past, you will receive your tri-fold with the finalized calendar of events upon submitting your membership dues to Gen Huffman, who has kindly accepted the role of Membership (Gen’s contact information is listed at the end of this email). If you are aware of someone, who does not have access to a computer or email, could you please print a copy for them and pass it along. In addition, I will bring hard copies with me to have available at the Yacht Club for docks in. We look forward to seeing everyone this coming long weekend and to a fun, safe summer!

May 21^st

• Docks In – 10:00am (weather permitting, alternate date – June 25^th, same time) BBQ for helpers @EYC

July 1^st

• Fireman’s BBQ, 5:00pm, Fireworks at dark (public beach)

July 2^nd

• Camp Registration at the EYC – 11:00am to 1:00pm
• Race and Rules (Fleet Captain’s/Barge) 12:00pm
• Skippers Meeting 12:45pm
• Jr. and Sr. Shakedown Race – 1:30pm
• Opening BBQ at the EYC – 5:30pm

July 3^rd

• Sr. Race #1 & 2 – 11:00 am

July 9^th

• Jr. Races 1 & 2 – 10:00am
• Keg Challenge – 2:00pm
• Chilli Cook Off – 5:00pm
• Euchre Tournament – 6:30pm

July 10^th

• Sr. Races 3 & 4 – 11:00am

July 16^{th (Saturday)}

• RYC/EYC Regatta @ RYC– 10:00am to 4:00pm (volunteers needed, contact Geoff Kerr or Meghan Roulston for more information)

July 17^th

• Sr. Races 5 & 6 -11:00am
• Pot Luck – 5:30pm (location TBA)

July 22^{nd (Friday)}

• Jr. Races 3 & 4 – 3:30pm

July 23^nd

• 11:00am – Past Commodores Mtg. @Clarke’s point
• 11:00am – Judging begins at the EYC
• 12:00am – Pied Pipers Parade
• 1:00pm – Rondeau Bay Regatta and Mile Swim @the EYC

July 24^th

• Sr. Lakeside Race 7

July 30^th

• Art On The Blvd. – 8:00am
• Food and Beverage Venue available at the EYC 8:00am to 3:00pm (volunteers needed, please contact Meghan Roulston)
• Jr. Races 5 & 6 – 10:00am

July 31^st

• Sr. Races 8 & 9 – 11:00am

August 1^st

• Commodores Picnic 12:00pm

August 6^th

• Jr. Skippers Race – 10:00am

August 7^th

• Sr. Race 10 & Sr. Skippers Race – 11:00am

August 13^th

• Jr. Races 7 & 8 – 10:00am
• Social Event – Wine & Dine at the EYC – 5:00pm Appetizers, 6:00pm Dinner & Wine Tasting $25.00 per person

August 14^th

• Sr. Races 11 & 12 – 11:00am
